Heritage education program at Hoang Thanh Thang Long

Cultural heritage is the legacy of physical artifacts and the intangible properties of a group or society inherited from previous generations, maintained to the present and for generations to come. Cultural heritage includes cultural assets (such as buildings, sights, monuments, books, works of art, artifacts), intangible culture (such as folklore, traditions, language language and knowledge) and natural heritage (including important cultural landscapes and biodiversity).

The implementation of Cultural Heritage Education for pupils, students and young generations is very important, contributing to preserving and promoting the national cultural heritage value. Building the young generation’s love for the national cultural heritage.

Understanding the importance of Heritage Education for the young generation, over the years, Hoang Thanh Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center – Hanoi has cooperated with schools to implement the Migration Education Program. There are two programs: “I am an archaeologist” and “I explore her heritage”.

Coming to the program “I am an archaeologist”, students will experience as “Child Archaeologist” with many useful activities:

  • Visiting archaeological relic area 18 Hoang Dieu;
  • Join the game Finding the Imperial treasure;
  • Experience at a hypothetical archaeological pit;
  • Artifacts drawing, painting, pattern stamping;
  • Answer questions on activity sheet;
  • Awarded certificates.

Games and experiences will help students be equipped with basic knowledge about history and culture, gradually forming a sense of respect, preserving the cultural heritage of their fathers, raising awareness and fostering. National pride.

Along with “I am an archaeologist” for elementary students, the program “I explore heritage is a heritage education program for high school students at Hoang Thanh Thang Long. Students will learn and explore the property through the following activities:

  • Visit the heritage area
  • Watch the video clip introducing the legacy
  • Answer the question on the operation panel
  • Learn history through topics
  • Participating in folk games (tug of war, sack dance)
  • Experience paper fan stickers, pottery painting, folk painting printing.
