On the morning of October 2, the Hanoi People’s Committee and the Ministry of Information and Communications jointly organized the opening ceremony of the 6th Hanoi Book Fair – 2019 with the theme “Hanoi – City for Peace. ”

Books are exhibited creatively, attracting viewers

Hanoi Book Fair is held at Hoang Thanh Thang Long – World Cultural Heritage attracts many prestigious domestic and foreign publishing units to attend. With about 200 stalls, the Book Association includes a wide variety of books such as: Children’s books, literature books, social and cultural books, economic books, scientific and technical books; foreign language books; electronic books and digital devices.

Also on October 2, Hoang Thanh Thang Long opened the exhibition “The imprint of Hanoi administrative boundary through archives”. The exhibition introduces to the public at home and abroad the documents, archives, images of the administrative boundaries of Hanoi city of previous centuries.

The exhibition showcases 88 documents, archives and images in three stages: Stage 1 – The administrative boundary of Hanoi city before the August Revolution in 1945; Phase 2 – The administrative boundary of Hanoi city from 1945 to 1954; Phase 3 – Hanoi administrative boundary after 1954.

The times of adjusting the administrative boundaries have many meanings for the socio-economic development of the Capital. Hanoi city has made new developments, increasingly worthy of stature as the capital, the heart of the country, the political-administrative center of the nation, the economic, cultural center, science – technology and international exchanges of the country.
