Activities to celebrate the 114th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8, 1910 – March 8, 2024) and the 1984th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising

On the morning of March 6, 2024, at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Relic Site, the Thang Long – Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center organized activities to celebrate the 114th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8, 1910 – March 8, 2024) and the 1984th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising, participating in the tour connecting Thang Long Imperial Citadel – Old Quarter by electric car.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Quang – Director of the Thang Long – Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center said that this is a practical activity organized to honor Vietnamese women. Besides their natural beauty, women’s beauty is also recognized by society for their positive contributions to family, society and country.
“The connecting tram route aims to help tourists explore the unique cultural features of Hanoi Capital along the route of Hoan Kiem Lake – Hanoi Old Quarter and the World Heritage site of Thang Long Imperial Citadel. This is a meaningful journey connecting heritage with a very authentic story about the life of ancient urban residents with the capital,” said Mr. Quang.
Also in the series of activities, the Thang Long – Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center responded to the Vietnam Ao Dai Week. This is an event to honor the value of Ao Dai in life, culture and society; at the same time, arouse love, pride, responsibility to preserve and promote the value of Ao Dai heritage and promote the culture, country, Vietnamese people in general and Vietnamese women in particular to a wider range of domestic and international friends.
