As part of the series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Convention on the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage, the Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center – Hanoi opened the exhibition “Treasures of the Imperial Palace of Thang Long” on August 8. September 2022. The exhibition will introduce visitors to the most typical and unique artifacts.
The exhibition “Treasures of the Imperial Palace of Thang Long” introduces to the public the most typical and unique artifacts unearthed at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long from 2002 to present.
The exhibition selects and introduces some typical and unique types of ceramics in the Thang Long Imperial Palace. These are indispensable tools and items that play a very important role in the life of the Royal Palace, from daily life to the feasts of the king and the court on great holidays and birthdays, the coronation of the king… In addition, many precious ceramics are also used as self-made items in temples or used as interior decorations of palaces and attics to adorn the beauty of nobility, the luxury of the royal place.
In addition, the display also introduces a number of precious metal relics such as jewelry, gold pieces decorated on utensils, objects, swords with three weapons symbolizing the power of the court or the orders of the emperor. the court about the release of the palace maiden…
The exhibition “Treasures of the Imperial Palace of Thang Long” includes 3 spaces:
The exhibition space is unique, more prominent with projected images of the Ly palace and the wall showing the beauty of the four seasons in the old palace. In particular, this is the first time introducing 3D mapping projection technology that simulates the unique patterns of artifacts so that visitors can better recognize the beauty and elegance of the ceramics used in the Thang Long royal palace.
The combination of static and dynamic display methods, the use of artistic lighting and 3D mapping projection technology has created an attractive effect, helping the public to fully feel the beauty and special value of the royal treasures.
House N19 – Imperial Citadel of Thang Long (19C Hoang Dieu – Ba Dinh – Hanoi). From gate 19C, you go straight through Doan Mon and you will come to the display house “Treasures of the Imperial Palace of Thang Long”.
Visitors only need to buy tickets to visit the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long to visit all the relics in the Thang Long Imperial Citadel (including the display of “Treasures of the Imperial Palace of Thang Long”).
