In the program of the New Year, this morning (February 4, 2021, December 23 of the Year of the Rat), at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, the Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center performed a number of rituals to exterminate the old man. like the ceremony to see off the Tao Quan to heaven; the squirrel ceremony, the calendar; the raising ceremony and the spring ox.

The rituals carry many good meanings, wishing for a happy and prosperous new spring, a year of cultivating crops with favorable rain and wind, and good crops.

Due to the impact of the covid-19 epidemic, activities were carried out solemnly and neatly, ensuring etiquette and strengthening disease prevention measures such as cleaning and disinfecting, arranging automatic body temperature monitors. , automatic hand sanitizer dispenser; regularly update 5K messages to visitors…

The heritage site is closed on February 10, 11, and 12, 2021 (December 29 and 30 of the Year of the Rat and the 1st of the New Year of the Ox). The relics still serve guests to offer incense free of charge.
