The year 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of Vietnam’s Cultural Heritage

You know what? 2020 is the 75th anniversary of that Vietnamese Cultural Heritage !!!

With the importance of the national cultural heritage, in 1945, President of the Provisional Government of Ho Chi Minh signed Decree No. 65 / SL “Assigning the tasks of the Ancient Orient of the Academy” – The first Decree our State’s priority in preserving the national cultural heritage.

Vietnam is a multi-ethnic country. . Each ethnic group in Vietnam has its own cultural identity, creating the unity in the diversity of Vietnamese culture.

With the importance of national cultural heritages, on November 23, 1945, President of the Provisional Government of Ho Chi Minh signed Decree No. 65 / SL “Assigning the tasks of the Ancient Orient of the Academy” – The first decree of our State on the preservation of the national cultural heritage. The decree was born in the context that the young Democratic Republic of Vietnam is facing many difficulties in terms of the enemy of hunger, enemy ignorance, and foreign invaders. The country is in a situation of “a thousand pounds hanging hair”.

Decree No. 65 / SL, although short, concise, has been in place for 75 years, but reflects very basic and profound thoughts and views of our State towards the preservation of cultural heritage, Until now, it still retains the theoretical and practical meaning, illuminating the cause of protecting and promoting the cultural heritage of the country. It is the view of the important role of cultural heritage in the cause of national construction and development, inheritance in cultural development, the responsibility of the State, society and each citizen in the protect cultural heritage …

Stemming from that meaning and before the requirements of the country situation and tasks in the new period, on February 24, 2005, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 36/2005 / QD-TTg on the annual taking November 23 as “Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day”, in order to “promote the tradition and sense of responsibility of those engaged in the protection and promotion of the value of Vietnamese cultural heritage, to encourage social classes actively participate in the cause of protecting and promoting the value of national cultural heritages ”. The Prime Minister’s decision identifies 5 requirements of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day: traditional patriotic education, national pride, sense of responsibility to protect cultural heritage in the entire people; Enhance the sense of responsibility and pride of those who protect, preserve and promote the value of national cultural heritages in the cause of building and developing an advanced and rich Vietnamese culture national identity.
